What is a cookie?

Jupiter’s use of cookies

Videos on our site are published using the Brightcove Player. Cloudflare

CloudFlare provides functionality used to speed up page load times. The cookie is set to identify trusted web traffic. It does not correspond to any user id in the web application, nor does it store any personally identifiable information.

Facebook

Facebook is a social media platform. Cookie data is used to allow users to like and share content from Jupiter’s site, and to help Jupiter understand the online journeys of individuals who visit the Jupiter site from links shared on Facebook. Jupiter may use this information to help increase the relevance of communications for Facebook users and visitors.

Google Analytics

Jupiter may use Google Analytics for the following purposes:

  • Remarketing (showing our ads on third-party websites). Jupiter and third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to inform, optimise and serve ads based on someone’s past visits to a website.

Google AdWords

The website uses the Google AdWords remarketing service to advertise on third-party websites (including Google) to previous visitors to our website. It could also mean that Jupiter advertises to previous visitors who have not completed a task on the website site, for example using the contact form to make an enquiry. This could be in the form of an advertisement on the Google search results page, or a site in the Google Display network.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on someone’s past visits to the website.

Jupiter use the AdWords remarketing tags, which adds the website visitors to remarketing lists within AdWords.

Hotjar

We use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize this service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users’ experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behavior and their devices. This includes a device’s IP address (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our website. Hotjar stores this information on our behalf in a pseudonymized user profile. Hotjar is contractually forbidden to sell any of the data collected on our behalf.

The Morningstar IWT platform uses cookies to store basic login information (in solutions where login is required), increase security and to enhance the user experience. No personal data is stored.

Nasdaq

Thomson Reuters provide the share price information on the website. This cookie expires at the end of each session and no personal data is stored.

Pardot

Pardot is a marketing automation platform and uses cookie data to track website visitor activities and remember preferences, no personally identifying information is collected, only a unique identifier. Jupiter may use this information to deliver personalised communications and digital experiences on-site.

Salesforce

Salesforce is a client relationship management (CRM) platform which Jupiter uses to store and manage client data. Stoneshot

Stoneshot is Jupiter’s email marketing platform. Stoneshot cookies may be used to track website user activities and may be used by Jupiter for the delivery of personalised content. Cookies will remain in place until deleted.

X

X is a social media platform. Cookie data is used to allow users to like and share content from Jupiter’s site, and to help Jupiter understand the online journeys of individuals who visit the Jupiter site from links shared on X. Jupiter may use this information to help increase the relevance of communications for X users and visitors.

Web beacons

Some pages of Jupiter’s website may contain electronic images known as web beacons (also known as ‘clear gifs’) that allow Jupiter to count users who have visited these pages. Web beacons collect only limited information which may include a cookie number, time and date of a page view, and a description of the page on which the web beacon resides.
