Jupiter further strengthens global institutional team with hire of UK Head
Jupiter is pleased to further strengthen its global institutional presence with the appointment of Rachel Perini as Head of Institutional – UK.
Since the restructuring of its Institutional business last year, Jupiter has made strong progress towards its strategic goals including several prominent new mandates, bringing Jupiter’s market-leading investment capabilities to a growing number of institutional investors globally.
Expanded global team
Rachel’s appointment underlines the company’s commitment to focus and build on its client base in this important segment of the market. Her arrival at the company further bolsters Jupiter’s growing Global Institutional team, following the appointments of Adam Phua, Head of Institutional, Asia Pacific, Taylor Carrington, Head of Distribution, US, and David Schrock, Head of Institutional, US, all within the last year.
Reporting to Warren Tonkinson, Deputy Global Head of Distribution, and working alongside Tom Gardner, Head of Global Consultants, as part of Jupiter’s Global Institutional team, Rachel will be responsible for growing Jupiter’s institutional business in the UK.
Prior to joining Jupiter, Rachel spent nearly seven years on the UK Institutional Client Coverage team at UBS Asset Management, managing UK strategic clients including pension schemes, insurance companies, and fiduciary managers, representing £4.2 billion in assets under management. Before working with UBS, Rachel spent five years at BlackRock and seven with SEI Investments, a leading fiduciary manager with £100bn under management. In 2020, she was a finalist for Fund Salesperson of the Year at the Investment Week Women in Investment Awards.
Andrew Formica, CEO, commented: “The growth of our institutional business is a core strategic priority for Jupiter, and an area in which we have already made significant progress. With a strong global team now in place, and our relationships with global and regional consultants growing and deepening, we have a robust foundation from which to drive our institutional growth objectives, working hand-in-hand with our clients to provide the best investment solutions to fit their specific needs.”
Rachel Perini added: “Jupiter is a highly-respected and well-established brand within the investment management industry. With a broad range of specialist, active, high conviction funds on offer and a heritage and culture in sustainability, I believe we can help institutional investors solve for their requirements. I am excited to have the opportunity to both lead and contribute to the strong growth of the business and am looking forward to working with my colleagues as we continue to introduce our best-in-class strategies to the institutional market here in the UK and across Jupiter’s international markets.”
