What we do
Our distinct, entrepreneurial culture is based on giving talented professionals the freedom to pursue their own investment styles within a collaborative environment.
Jupiter is a specialist, high conviction, active asset manager. We exist to help our clients achieve their long-term investment objectives. From our origins in 1985, Jupiter now offers a range of actively managed strategies available to UK and international clients including equities, fixed income, multi-asset and alternatives. Jupiter is a constituent member of the FTSE 250 Index.
Independence of thought and individual accountability define us. Our fund managers follow their convictions and seek those investment opportunities that they believe will ensure the best outcome for our clients. They do this through analysis and research, a clear investment process and risk management framework, with a focus on good stewardship.

We believe that investment excellence requires diverse thinking, creativity, and a relentless drive to seek out opportunities.
Our people strive to always understand how we can positively impact our clients, no matter our role, with a culture that puts collaboration and a spirit of challenge at its heart.
We are tenacious in our desire to create an environment where everyone can do meaningful work for clients, for our business, and for the communities around us.
We are proud of our continued work on nurturing Jupiter’s culture, and are signatories to the ACT Framework.
Our values are more than just words. We regularly test our organisational culture through engagement surveys and feedback, and seek to recognise those who play an important role in life at Jupiter. We are dedicated to investing in the skills and knowledge of our people. We encourage all colleagues to continue learning and to stretch themselves and their teams. At Jupiter, we’re invested in our employees growth, knowing it drives our success.
The size of our business allows us to be agile and collaborative across teams, creating a platform for you to seize new opportunities that align with your ambitions. We promote your professional development with our extensive Learning & Development offer and encourage internal career moves.
Technical development
All business areas invest in their teams through role-specific qualifications, including the IMC and CFA. We also support development in a range of other technical fields including data and automation, data science, sales, systems, project management, derivatives, and investment decision-making. At Jupiter, you design your career, and we provide the support for your journey.
We are dedicated to making a positive impact on the community. We empower our employees globally with five paid leave days each year to volunteer and support local or chosen charities. To amplify the impact, we double match charity donations up to an annual employer maximum of £1,500 (or local currency equivalent), and cover the administration fees, ensuring that the full amount of your donation goes directly to your chosen charity, whether this be a personal choice or supporting the charity that our employees select annually.
Our approach to community engagement is holistic, ensuring that our contributions are meaningful and have a lasting impact. We are proud to stand with our employees in supporting the causes they care about, and we are committed to being a force for good in the communities we serve.
We’re proud of our partnerships and in November 2022, we launched a 'financial education' initiative to help young people from low-income backgrounds learn about finance management and network with industry professionals. We’ve supported over 170 young people since the start of this partnership.
We value the contribution our employees make to our business, which is why we are committed to offering an attractive remuneration and benefits package to help make Jupiter a rewarding place to work. We regularly review our benefits to ensure that we remain attractive in each of the local markets in which we operate. We offer competitive salaries and reward strong performance through discretionary annual bonuses.
Our benefits package in the UK provides a generous suite of financial, health and wellbeing, lifestyle, and family-friendly options for employees to take advantage of, based on what’s important to them.
- We encourage a good work-life balance with 28 days’ annual leave and the option to purchase more, paid charity days to support you in any charitable activities close to your heart.
- Additional lifestyle benefits include traditional schemes such as Cycle to Work and season ticket loans.
- Private healthcare, dental insurance, an Employee Assistance Programme with access to confidential counselling support, and a further range of health and wellbeing options that are either, fully or part-funded by the Company, including cancer screenings, health assessments and GP appointments.
- 15% employer pension contributions to our non-contributory pension scheme, with the option to divert up to 5% of contributions into other savings vehicles to suit your needs.
- Life assurance policy and income protection scheme from your first day of employment, providing financial security and protection for when it really matters.
- Two all-employee tax-efficient share schemes (our Sharesave and Share Incentive Plans) with approximately 80% of employees choosing to participate in at least one of these.
- Outside of the UK, you can expect a competitive benefits package aligned to the market in which you work.
- In our Asian offices, we fully fund competitive private healthcare plans for employees and their eligible family members, as well as life and disability insurance, medical check-ups and contributions to the statutory retirement savings schemes.
- In our European jurisdictions, we provide supplementary retirement schemes, health and risk insurances and company cars for employees required to travel frequently in their role for the business, as well as daily lunch vouchers and other benefits aligned to local benefits practice.
- All our employees located outside the UK are enrolled in our International Share Award scheme, allowing them to share in the long-term success of the company.
Working parents
We are proud of our extensive support for new parents. We offer six-months full paid maternity leave and eight-weeks enhanced paternity leave, globally. Recognising this important period, we offer an independent parental transition coaching programme available to colleagues globally.
We’ve been clear on our approach to hybrid working since we all returned to the office in 2021. We offer up to two days working remotely per week, with Tuesday and Thursday designated as fixed office days. This arrangement allows our colleagues to strike a balance between collaborating together and balancing home life and further reinforces our ethos of collaboration.
We’re open to flexible working, with part-time and alternative working patterns among some of the options available to our people. We’d encourage you to discuss this during your interview if you’re looking to take advantage of the flexibility offered.
Our goal is to create an environment where everyone can reach their full potential.
Diversity of thought, experience and perspectives has long underpinned our high-conviction investment approach, and is fundamental to how we think. We respect and celebrate different perspectives and are tenacious in our ambition to extend this as widely as possible.
